AKRON, Ohio (Interstat) β€” A struggling Bucknell team faces a steep challenge Wednesday when it visits hot-shooting Akron in a nonconference men’s basketball game. The Bison (2-7) are reeling from a 101-72 home loss to Cornell on Sunday. Aleksander Pachucki scored 17 points in that defeat, one of the few bright spots for a Bucknell squad that has lost seven of its last eight games. The Zips (6-2), meanwhile, are riding high after a 105-81 rout of Milwaukee on Saturday. Amani Lyles poured in 25 points and Tavari Johnson posted a double-double with 11 points and 11 assists in the win. Akron averages 91.1 points per game at home this season. The game at James A. Rhodes Arena tips off at 7 p.m. EST. Bucknell visits Rider next on Dec. 9. Akron travels to face Tulane on Dec. 6.
