WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Interstat) — The Wake Forest Demon Deacons, riding a three-game winning streak, will host the Oklahoma Sooners in a nonconference men’s basketball matchup on Tuesday at Joel Coliseum. The Demon Deacons (6-2) are coming off an 86-73 home victory over Northeastern on Friday, powered by a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double from Tre’Von Spillers. Wake Forest’s two losses this season have come by a combined three points, falling in overtime at Michigan and by one point at Texas Tech. Oklahoma (5-2) arrives after a dramatic 75-74 road win at Marquette. Tae Davis led the way for the Sooners with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Nijel Pack scored a team-high 24 points. The Sooners’ two losses have come against ranked opponents Gonzaga and Nebraska on the road. The game represents a final major nonconference test for both teams before their respective conference schedules intensify. Oklahoma will travel to face Arizona State next, while Wake Forest heads to West Virginia. Tipoff is set for Tuesday night.
