SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (Interstat) — The Rhode Island Rams, coming off a strong offensive performance, will look to continue their winning ways when they host the struggling Brown Bears in a nonconference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at the Ryan Center. Rhode Island (6-2) is riding high after a 90-75 road victory over Temple on Wednesday. Jonah Hinton led the charge with 25 points, while Tyler Cochran added 20. The Rams have won five of their last six games, with their only loss in that stretch a 62-55 defeat at Towson. Brown (2-5) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 59-47 win at New Hampshire in its last outing. Landon Lewis and Brady Loughlin each scored 17 points in the victory. The Bears have found points hard to come by this season, having been held under 65 points in four of their five losses. The intrastate matchup presents a stark contrast in early-season momentum. Rhode Island has showcased a potent offense, averaging over 80 points per game in its last three wins. Brown, meanwhile, has relied on its defense, holding opponents to an average of 59.5 points in its two victories. The game tips off at 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Rhode Island will travel to face Providence on Saturday, while Brown will host Bryant next Friday.
