COLLEGE PARK, Md. (Interstat) — The Maryland Terrapins return home to face the Wagner Seahawks in a nonconference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at the Xfinity Center. Maryland (4-3) looks to rebound from a pair of lopsided road losses to ranked opponents. The Terrapins fell 105-72 at then-Alabama last Wednesday, following a 100-61 defeat at then-Gonzaga. Prior to that trip, Maryland secured a 74-67 home victory over UNLV. Wagner (1-5) enters with momentum from its first win of the season, a 103-101 overtime victory at Manhattan on Nov. 26. Nick Jones led the Seahawks with 35 points in that contest. The Terrapins have faced a challenging early schedule, with their losses coming against Alabama, Gonzaga and Georgetown. Their wins include an overtime victory over Mount Saint Mary’s and a road win at Marquette. Wagner’s lone win snapped a five-game skid to start the season, which included narrow road losses to Fordham and Maryland-Baltimore County. Tuesday’s game is the first of a two-game homestand for Maryland before it opens Big Ten Conference play at Iowa on Saturday. Wagner will host Bry. & Strat. on Dec. 6. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST.
