NEW ORLEANS (Interstat) — The Tulane Green Wave, coming off a strong start to the season, will host the Grambling Tigers in a non-conference men’s basketball game on Tuesday at Devlin Fieldhouse. Tulane (5-2) looks to continue its momentum after an 82-72 victory over Nicholls State last Friday. Asher Woods led the way with 19 points, while Tyler Ringgold added 14 points and seven rebounds. The Green Wave have shown resilience, including an overtime win on the road against Boston College. Grambling (3-4) seeks to snap a three-game skid after a 83-74 road loss to UC Riverside on Nov. 24. Despite the loss, guard Rickey Ballard scored 20 points in that contest. The Tigers’ victories this season have come against Southern Mississippi, Howard and Huston-Tillotson. The game marks a return to action for both teams after breaks of several days. Tulane will be favored at home, where they are 4-1 this season, while Grambling is still searching for its first true road win after an 0-4 start away from home. Tipoff is set for Tuesday night in New Orleans. Tulane will next host Akron on Saturday, while Grambling’s following game is at Southern Mississippi on Dec. 8.
