STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (Interstat) — The Penn State Nittany Lions, off to a strong 7-1 start, will look to continue their early-season momentum when they host the Campbell Fighting Camels on Tuesday night at the Bryce Jordan Center. Penn State is coming off a dominant 90-59 victory over Sacred Heart on Saturday. In that win, Kayden Mingo led the way with 13 points and five assists, while Melih Tunca added 12 points, four assists and two blocks. Freddie Dilione V contributed 10 points. The Nittany Lions’ only blemish this season was a 77-65 home loss to Providence on Nov. 22. Campbell (3-4) enters the contest looking to rebound from a lopsided 99-51 road loss to Wake Forest last Tuesday. Chris Fields and Dovydas Butka each scored 12 points in the defeat. The Fighting Camels have struggled away from home, with all four of their losses coming on the road, including defeats at Wisconsin and West Virginia. Their three wins have all come in Buies Creek, North Carolina. The game represents a significant challenge for Campbell against a high-major opponent before the Nittany Lions open a tough stretch of their schedule. Penn State will visit Indiana on Dec. 9 before hosting Michigan State on Dec. 13. Tipoff is set for Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Bryce Jordan Center.
