EUGENE, Ore. (Interstat) — The undefeated Southern California Trojans put their perfect record on the line Tuesday night in a Big 10 conference road test against the Oregon Ducks at Matthew Knight Arena. Southern California (7-0) is coming off an 88-75 road victory at Arizona State last Wednesday. Chad Baker-Mazara led the way with 23 points, while Jacob Cofie added 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. The Trojans have shown resilience early, winning their last three games by a combined 10 points, including a triple-overtime victory against Troy. Oregon (4-3) looks to rebound after a 76-66 loss at Creighton last Thursday. In that game, Sean Stewart scored 18 points and Kwame Evans Jr. added 12 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. The Ducks have struggled against high-major competition, with all three of their losses coming against power-conference opponents. The matchup pits USC’s high-powered offense against an Oregon team searching for consistency. The Ducks will need a strong defensive effort to slow down the Trojans and protect their home court in the first-ever Big 10 meeting between the programs.
