UNDATED (Interstat) — The unbeaten and No. 8-ranked Missouri Tigers will put their perfect record on the line Tuesday night in a nonconference road test against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the Joyce Athletic Center. Missouri (8-0) has been dominant to start the season, winning each of its games by an average of 23.5 points. The Tigers are coming off an 86-59 rout of Cleveland State on Friday, powered by 20 points and eight rebounds from Jacob Crews. Mark Mitchell added 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. Notre Dame (5-3) seeks a resume-building victory after a 66-56 loss at Houston last Wednesday. The Fighting Irish are 4-0 at home this season but have struggled against high-major opponents, with losses to Houston, Kansas and Ohio State. Guard Markus Burton leads the team, scoring 19 points in the loss to the Cougars. The game represents a significant challenge for Notre Dame’s defense, which must contend with a deep and efficient Missouri offense. For the Tigers, the contest is a final major nonconference hurdle before a highly anticipated showdown at Kansas on Dec. 7. Tipoff is set for 9 p.m. EST Tuesday in Notre Dame, Indiana.
