CHICAGO (Interstat) — Two men’s college basketball teams looking to build momentum will meet Tuesday when the Central Michigan Chippewas visit the Loyola Chicago Ramblers at Joseph Gentile Center. Central Michigan (3-4) enters the contest coming off a dominant 112-67 home victory over Adrian on Nov. 25. The Chippewas’ offense was firing, with Tamario Adley (14 points, 7 assists), Rodney Johnson (18 points) and Logan McIntire (17 points) leading a balanced scoring attack. Prior to that win, however, Central Michigan dropped a 71-85 decision at Marquette. Loyola Chicago (1-7) is mired in a difficult start to the season and seeks to end a six-game losing streak. The Ramblers fell 51-63 to San Jose State at home in their last outing on Nov. 26. Miles Rubin posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss, while Chuck Love added 13 points. Their lone win came in the season opener against Cleveland State. The game represents a chance for both programs to secure a non-conference victory before their upcoming schedules intensify. Central Michigan’s next game is at Saint Louis on Dec. 7. Loyola Chicago will host Princeton on Dec. 6. Tipoff is set for Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Chicago.
