JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Jacksonville Dolphins will look to get back to .500 when they host the struggling Florida A&M Rattlers in a non-conference men’s basketball game Tuesday at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Jacksonville (3-4) is coming off a 68-53 home loss to Pacific on Nov. 25, where Chris Lockett led the team with nine points and six rebounds. The Dolphins have shown flashes, including a 69-64 road win at Bethune-Cookman, but have struggled for consistency. They will face a Florida A&M team (0-4) still searching for its first win. The Rattlers are coming off an 87-57 road loss to Georgia on Nov. 17. In that game, Anquan Boldin scored a team-high 16 points, while Jordan Chatman and Tyler Shirley each added 13. Florida A&M has lost its four games by an average of 29.5 points. The matchup presents a key opportunity for Jacksonville to build momentum before a difficult stretch that includes road games at Texas A&M and Florida State. For the Rattlers, it is a chance to find their footing against a beatable opponent before a rematch with the Dolphins in Tallahassee on Dec. 17. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST.
