OMAHA, Neb. (Interstat) — The Creighton Bluejays look to continue their momentum after a strong holiday tournament performance when they host the winless Nicholls State Colonels on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at CenturyLink Center. Creighton (4-3) is coming off a 76-66 victory over Oregon on Nov. 27, where Blake Harper led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds. The Bluejays have shown a potent offense at home, averaging 81.8 points in four victories in Omaha this season. They will face a Nicholls State team (0-6) still searching for its first win under first-year coach. The Colonels are coming off a 82-72 loss at Tulane on Nov. 28, despite a 15-rebound, 14-point double-double from Jalik Dunkley and a 22-point effort from Jaylen Searles. All six of Nicholls State’s losses have come on the road, including defeats to power-conference opponents Kentucky and Oklahoma State. The game serves as a final tune-up for Creighton before a highly anticipated in-state rivalry game at Nebraska on Sunday. For the Colonels, it concludes a grueling season-opening, seven-game road trip. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Central.
