PEORIA, Ill. (Interstat) — The Bradley Braves look to build on a strong home victory when they host the Washington State Cougars in a nonconference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Carver Arena. Both teams enter with .500 records over an eight-game span. Bradley (4-4) is coming off a 74-64 win over Liberty on Wednesday, led by Demarion Burch’s 21 points and eight rebounds. The Braves are 3-1 at home this season. Washington State (3-5) seeks to end a two-game skid after falling 75-61 to Seton Hall last Wednesday. Rihards Vavers scored 17 points and Ace Glass III added 15 in the loss. The Cougars have struggled on the road, with all five of their losses coming away from home, including a 100-94 shootout at Arizona State on Nov. 25. The game pits Bradley’s recent home-court momentum against a Washington State team searching for its first true road win. The Cougars’ offense has shown flashes, scoring 90 or more points three times this season, but consistency has been an issue. This is the first meeting between the programs. Following this contest, Bradley will host Northern Illinois on Saturday, while Washington State returns home to face Nevada on Dec. 7. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST.
