VESTAL, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum will meet Tuesday when the Lehigh Mountain Hawks visit the Binghamton Bearcats in a non-conference men’s basketball game. The Mountain Hawks (3-6) are coming off their most impressive win of the season, a 78-74 overtime victory at Texas State on Saturday. Guard Nasir Whitlock led the way, scoring 31 points in the win. Joshua Ingram added 11 points and four rebounds, while Hank Alvey chipped in eight points, five rebounds and three blocks. Lehigh’s victory snapped a three-game skid. Binghamton (2-6) has not played since a 75-66 loss at Canisius on Nov. 23. In that game, Jeremiah Quigley, Zyier Beverly and Demetrius Lilley each scored in double figures for the Bearcats, who have lost four of their last five. The game will be a test for both teams’ offenses. Lehigh is averaging 66.4 points per game, while Binghamton is scoring just 63.6 points per contest. Tuesday’s matchup at the Binghamton University Events Center is the first of a two-game homestand for the Bearcats. Lehigh continues its road swing before returning home to face Long Island on Dec. 6.
