WACO, Texas (Interstat) — The Baylor Bears, coming off a strong road victory, return home to face a struggling Sacramento State team on Tuesday night at the Ferrell Center. Baylor (5-1) looks to build on its momentum after a 91-81 win at San Diego State last Wednesday. The Bears’ offense was powered by a balanced attack, with Cameron Carr scoring 17 points, Tounde Yessoufou adding 18 and Obi Agbim contributing 16 points and four assists. Their only blemish this season is a 96-81 loss to Saint John’s. Sacramento State (4-5) arrives in Texas looking to snap a two-game skid. The Hornets are coming off a 68-54 loss at Pacific on Saturday, where Mikey Williams led the team with 14 points and six assists. The Hornets have found wins hard to come by against major-conference opponents, having also lost decisively to California and UCLA this season. The game presents a clear contrast. Baylor has consistently put up high point totals, scoring 91 or more in three of its wins. Sacramento State, meanwhile, has been held under 70 points in four of its five losses. This is the first meeting between the two programs. For Sacramento State, it is the final non-conference tune-up before Big Sky play begins in January. Baylor continues its non-conference slate with a marquee road game at Memphis on Saturday.
