INGLEWOOD, Calif. (Interstat) — A high-scoring, nonconference clash is projected for Saturday when the Boise State Broncos face the Washington Huskies at SoFi Stadium. The Broncos (9-4), riding a three-game winning streak, are installed as a 10-point favorite over the Huskies (8-4). The over/under is set at 52.5 points, a line the National Statistical game simulator expects both teams to surpass with a projected final of Boise State 35, Washington 32. Boise State enters off a 38-21 home victory over UNLV on Dec. 5, powered by quarterback Maddux Madsen. The dual-threat signal-caller passed for 289 yards and three touchdowns while adding another score on the ground. He has thrown for 11 touchdowns against just one interception during the Broncos’ current win streak. Washington seeks to rebound from a 26-14 loss to rival Oregon on Nov. 29 that snapped a three-game winning streak. The Huskies’ offense will run through dynamic quarterback Demond Williams Jr. In his last three outings, Williams has accounted for eight total touchdowns, showcasing his ability as both a passer and a rusher. His performance against UCLA on Nov. 22 was particularly explosive, with 213 passing yards, 56 rushing yards and four total touchdowns. The neutral-site game in Southern California presents a unique postseason-style test for both programs. Boise State’s offense, averaging 36.5 points in its last four games, will challenge a Washington defense that allowed 26 points per game in losses to Michigan, Wisconsin and Oregon. Conversely, the Huskies’ balanced attack, which features running back Adam Mohammed coming off a 105-yard game, will test a Broncos defense that has been inconsistent at times. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. PST on Saturday, Dec. 13. The game will be televised on ABC.
