BOISE, Idaho (Interstat) — UNLV seeks redemption and a conference title berth when the 10-2 Runnin’ Rebels visit Boise State on Friday night in a Mountain West showdown. The game at Albertsons Stadium is a rematch of Boise State’s 56-31 home victory on Oct. 18. The eighth-ranked Broncos (8-4) have won six straight in the series. UNLV, riding a three-game win streak, is led by quarterback Anthony Colandrea and running back Jai’Den Thomas, who combined for six touchdowns in last week’s 42-17 rout of Nevada. Boise State edged Utah State 25-24 on Friday behind quarterback Max Cutforth’s 341-yard passing performance. Despite being a 4.5-point underdog by sportsbooks, UNLV controls its path to the conference championship game. A win secures the West Division. Boise State, leading the Mountain Division, needs a victory and a San Diego State loss to claim its spot. National Statistical’s simulator projects a 42-25 Broncos win. The over/under is 58.5.
