SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — The Chicago Bulls, mired in a difficult season, will look to disrupt the Golden State Warriors’ push for postseason positioning when the teams meet Tuesday night at Chase Center. The Bulls (26-38) arrive on the second night of a back-to-back after a 126-110 loss at Sacramento on Sunday. Despite the defeat, guard Josh Giddey continued his stellar play, posting a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. It was his second triple-double in his last four games, including a 20-point, 14-rebound, 10-assist performance in a win over Milwaukee on March 1. Giddey’s all-around production will be central to any Chicago upset bid. The Warriors (32-31), sitting just above .500, are coming off a 104-97 road loss to Oklahoma City on Saturday. Forward Gui Santos has emerged as a key contributor, recording a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds in that contest. Over his last 10 games, Santos is averaging 14.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists, providing vital secondary scoring and playmaking. Golden State won the first meeting this season decisively, a 123-91 victory in Chicago on Dec. 7. The Warriors have struggled recently at home, however, losing three of their last four at Chase Center. Chicago’s season has been defined by inconsistency, with only three wins in its last 10 contests. Beyond Giddey, the Bulls will need scoring from guards like Collin Sexton, who had 28 points against Sacramento, and forward Matas Buzelis. For Golden State, stabilizing its home court is imperative as it navigates a crowded Western Conference playoff race. The Warriors’ upcoming schedule is heavy with road games, making a victory against a sub-.500 opponent at home crucial. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. PDT Tuesday. The Bulls continue their road trip with games at the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers on Thursday and Friday. The Warriors host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday before embarking on a five-game East Coast trip.
