Preview: Grizzlies at Nets, March 9, 2026 BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two teams at the bottom of the NBA standings will meet Monday night when the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center. The Grizzlies (23-38) and Nets (15-47) are both looking to halt recent slides. Memphis has lost three of its last four games, while Brooklyn is mired in a nine-game losing streak. In their only previous meeting this season, Memphis edged Brooklyn 103-98 at home on Jan. 11. The matchup features a pair of forwards providing bright spots for struggling franchises. Memphis’ Jaylen Wells enters on a strong run, averaging 18.2 points over his last five games. He scored 24 points in the Grizzlies’ most recent outing, a 122-114 home loss to Portland on March 4. For Brooklyn, Michael Porter has been a consistent source of production. He is coming off a 27-point, 13-rebound performance in a 126-110 loss at Miami on March 5, his third double-double in the last 10 games. Beyond the individual performances, the game represents a critical opportunity for both clubs to build momentum. Memphis begins a challenging five-game road trip after this contest, facing Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Charlotte and Atlanta in quick succession. Brooklyn, which hosts Detroit on Tuesday, is in the midst of a stretch where it plays nine of its next 11 games on the road. Securing a home victory before that arduous trek is a priority for the Nets. The Grizzlies will aim to exploit their slight advantage in the standings and recent head-to-head success, while the Nets desperately seek to snap their skid in front of their home crowd. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EDT.
