Preview: Wizards at Magic, Tuesday, March 3, 2026 ORLANDO, Fla. (Interstat) β€” The Orlando Magic look to solidify their playoff positioning when they host the struggling Washington Wizards on Tuesday night at Kia Center. The Magic (31-28) sit in the middle of the Eastern Conference standings but are coming off a disappointing 106-92 home loss to the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Orlando had won four of its previous five games before that defeat, including notable road victories over the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers. All-Star forward Paolo Banchero leads Orlando, averaging 22.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 6.2 assists. He is coming off a 24-point, 11-rebound performance against Detroit and has recorded five double-doubles in his last 10 games. Washington (16-43) owns the worst record in the East and has lost four of its last five, including a 134-125 defeat to Toronto on Saturday. The Wizards’ defense has been a persistent issue, allowing an average of 124.2 points during this five-game stretch. Rookie guard Will Riley is a bright spot for Washington, coming off a 19-point effort against the Raptors. He has scored in double figures in eight of his last 10 contests, including a 27-point game against Brooklyn on Feb. 7. The season series is tied 1-1. The Wizards won the most recent meeting 120-112 in Washington on Jan. 6, behind 32 points from Bilal Coulibaly. The Magic dominated the first matchup 125-94 on Nov. 1 in Orlando. For the Magic, this begins a critical three-game homestand against Dallas, Cleveland and Washington as they chase a top-six seed. The Wizards, deep in a rebuild, open a two-game Florida trip before returning home. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
