Preview: Jazz Visit Grizzlies in Friday Night NBA Matchup MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Interstat) — Two teams looking to halt recent slides will meet Friday night when the Utah Jazz visit the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum. The Jazz (18-38) have lost three of their last four, including a 135-119 home defeat to Portland on Feb. 12 in their most recent outing. The Grizzlies (20-33) have dropped four straight, with their last game a 122-116 loss at Denver on Feb. 11. Despite their records, the season series is tied 1-1. Memphis won the last meeting 137-128 in Utah on Dec. 23, 2025, after the Jazz took the first game 130-126 in Memphis on Dec. 12, 2025. A key matchup will feature emerging frontcourt players. Utah’s Kyle Filipowski is coming off a 15-point, 9-rebound performance against Portland and has posted four double-doubles in his last 10 games, including a 16-point, 16-rebound effort in a win over Indiana on Feb. 3. For Memphis, GG Jackson provides a scoring spark. He led the Grizzlies with 21 points against Denver and has averaged 17.3 points over his last three contests. Utah’s offense will also rely on Brice Sensabaugh, who scored 28 points in the loss to Portland, and guard Isaiah Collier, who dished out nine assists in that game. The Grizzlies will look for backcourt production from Ty Jerome, who had 19 points and seven assists against the Nuggets. Both teams face challenging schedules ahead. Following this game, Utah begins a three-game road trip at Houston on Monday. Memphis opens a four-game trip at Miami on Saturday. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. CST Friday.
