SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — The Golden State Warriors, holding firm in the Western Conference playoff picture, will host the struggling Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night at Chase Center. The Warriors (28-25) look to rebound from a 99-105 road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. Moses Moody led Golden State in that defeat, scoring 25 points in 39 minutes. Moody has been a consistent offensive threat, averaging 19.8 points over his last four games and scoring 26 in a win over Utah on Jan. 28. Golden State has won four of its last six home games and previously handled Memphis this season, winning 131-118 at home on Oct. 27. The Grizzlies (20-31) arrive on the second night of a back-to-back after falling 115-122 at Portland on Saturday. It was their fifth loss in six games. Rookie guard Javon Small was a bright spot in the loss, posting 22 points, six rebounds and four assists. Small is averaging 16.8 points over his last five contests. Memphis has shown sporadic offensive firepower, scoring 129 points in a win at Sacramento on Feb. 4, but has struggled defensively, allowing an average of 122.8 points over its last five games. Golden State’s offense, which put up 140 points against Utah last week, will test that defense. The Warriors have won seven of their last ten at Chase Center. The teams will meet again in Memphis on Feb. 25. Following Monday’s game, Golden State hosts San Antonio on Wednesday, while Memphis travels to Denver. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. PST.
