Preview: Struggling Jazz Face Playoff-Bound Raptors in Toronto TORONTO (Interstat) — The Utah Jazz, mired in a difficult season, will look to snap a three-game skid when they visit the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena on Sunday. The Jazz (15-33) arrive after a 140-124 home loss to Golden State on Wednesday, their 10th defeat in the last 12 games. Rookie guard Ace Bailey led Utah in that contest with 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists, continuing a stretch of increased responsibility. Over his last 10 games, Bailey is averaging 16.1 points and 4.6 rebounds. Toronto (29-20), however, presents a formidable challenge as it sits firmly in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. The Raptors are coming off a 119-92 loss to New York on Wednesday but had won four of their previous five games before that defeat. Forward Brandon Ingram has been a consistent force for Toronto, averaging 20.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists over his last 10 appearances. He scored a team-high 27 points in the loss to the Knicks. The matchup features a stark contrast in trajectories. Utah has allowed an average of 128.2 points during its 2-10 stretch since Jan. 12. Toronto’s offense, which put up 145 points in a win at Golden State on Jan. 20, will test that vulnerable defense. For the Jazz, secondary scoring behind Bailey will be critical. Keyonte George, who had 19 points and seven assists against the Warriors, and Brice Sensabaugh, who added 22 points, must provide consistent support. The Raptors, led by Ingram and All-Star Scottie Barnes, will aim to control the game with their defensive length and transition offense. Barnes is coming off a 17-point, 10-rebound, five-assist performance against New York. This game opens a four-game road trip for Utah. Toronto begins a brief two-game homestand before hosting Minnesota on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Scotiabank Arena.
