Preview: Bucks at Celtics, Sunday, February 1, 2026 BOSTON (Interstat) — The Milwaukee Bucks, mired in a difficult season, face a stiff road test Sunday against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. The teams enter with contrasting fortunes. The Celtics (29-18) sit firmly in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, while the Bucks (18-28) have lost eight of their last 10 games. Boston holds a significant edge in the standings, but Milwaukee won the season’s first meeting, 116-101, in December. Milwaukee’s recent struggles have come despite stellar play from center Myles Turner. He is averaging 16.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.6 blocks over his last 10 games, including a 21-point, 14-rebound, six-block effort in a loss to Washington on Thursday. His rim protection will be vital against a potent Celtics attack. Boston is led by All-Star guard Jaylen Brown, who has been on a tear. Over his last 10 contests, Brown is averaging 28.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists, posting a triple-double against Brooklyn on Jan. 23. He scored 21 points in Boston’s most recent outing, a 117-106 home loss to Atlanta on Wednesday. The Bucks’ recent slide includes narrow defeats to Denver and Atlanta, but also several blowout losses. Defense has been a persistent issue; they have allowed an average of 117.2 points over their last 10 games. Boston has been inconsistent lately, alternating wins and losses over its past six games. The Celtics will look to leverage their home-court advantage, where they are 16-8 this season, to stabilize their footing before embarking on a lengthy road trip later in February. For Milwaukee, stopping Brown and improving defensive cohesion are the immediate challenges. For Boston, the task is avoiding a letdown against a sub-.500 team and avenging their earlier loss to the Bucks. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST Sunday.
