ORLANDO, Fla. (Interstat) — The surging Toronto Raptors will look to continue their climb in the Eastern Conference standings when they visit the struggling Orlando Magic at Kia Center on Friday night. Toronto (29-19) has won four of its last five games, including a 103-101 road victory over Oklahoma City on Sunday. The Raptors sit comfortably above .500 and are showcasing an explosive offense, having scored 145 points in a win at Golden State last week. The Raptors are led by guard Immanuel Quickley, who is in the midst of a stellar stretch. Over his last 10 games, Quickley is averaging 20.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.8 assists, including a 40-point, 10-assist performance against the Warriors. He will be a primary focus for Orlando’s defense. The Magic (23-22), however, have lost four consecutive games and are looking to stop their slide before a lengthy upcoming road trip. Despite the team’s struggles, forward Paolo Banchero has been a consistent force, averaging 23.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists over the same 10-game span. He is coming off a 37-point, 10-rebound effort in Monday’s loss at Cleveland. This matchup is a rematch of a thrilling game from Dec. 29, which the Raptors won 107-106 in Toronto. The Magic will be seeking revenge on their home floor, where they are 14-9 this season. For Toronto, the game opens a brief two-game trip before returning home. Orlando, meanwhile, begins a pivotal stretch where seven of its next eight games will be on the road after Friday’s contest. The Raptors’ recent success has been fueled by a balanced attack alongside Quickley, with Scottie Barnes contributing a near triple-double (10 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists) in the win over Oklahoma City. The Magic will need more support for Banchero, as the team has allowed an average of 118.3 points during its four-game skid. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
