Preview: Bucks at 76ers PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) — The Milwaukee Bucks, seeking to halt a recent slide, visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena in a matchup of teams heading in opposite directions. The Bucks (18-26) have lost five of their last six games, including a narrow 102-100 defeat to Denver last Friday. Despite the team’s struggles, two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo remains a dominant force. He is averaging 24.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 5.8 assists over his last 10 games, posting six double-doubles in that span. His supporting cast has been inconsistent, with center Myles Turner (17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 blocks vs. Denver) and guard Ryan Rollins (21 points) showing flashes. Philadelphia (24-21) has also hit a rough patch, losing three straight and four of its last five. The skid hit a low point with a 130-93 road loss to Charlotte on Monday. Guard Quentin Grimes, a player to watch, led the 76ers with 14 points and five assists in that defeat but the team defense collapsed, allowing the Hornets to shoot 58% from the field. The 76ers have owned the season series, winning both prior meetings. They secured a 116-101 victory in Milwaukee on Dec. 5 and a 123-114 win at home on Nov. 20. Tuesday’s game presents a critical opportunity for both clubs to regain footing. The Bucks, eight games below .500, need a signature road win to spark a turnaround. The 76ers, now just three games above .500, aim to stabilize before embarking on a challenging six-game road trip starting next week. For Milwaukee, containing Philadelphia’s perimeter scoring beyond Grimes, including Kelly Oubre Jr. and rookie Jared McCain, will be key after their defensive woes in recent losses. Philadelphia must find an answer for Antetokounmpo, who has torched them for a combined 57 points in the two losses this season. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
