HOUSTON (Interstat) — The surging Houston Rockets, winners of four of their last five, will host the struggling Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night at Toyota Center in a Western Conference matchup. The Rockets (27-16) enter on the heels of a 111-104 road victory in Detroit on Friday, where Kevin Durant led the way with 32 points and seven rebounds. The 19-year veteran forward has been a consistent force, averaging 28.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists over his last 10 games. Houston sits comfortably above .500 and will look to protect its home court against a lower-tier conference opponent. Memphis (18-25), meanwhile, is looking to halt a two-game skid after a 133-127 home loss to New Orleans on Friday. Despite the defeat, forward-center Jaren Jackson Jr. posted a dominant line of 26 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks. Jackson has been a bright spot during a difficult stretch, scoring 20 or more points in six of his last 10 outings. The Grizzlies have lost eight of their last 12 games overall. The teams have met once this season, with Houston securing a 124-109 victory in Memphis on Nov. 5, 2025. The Rockets’ balanced attack and superior record make them clear favorites, but Jackson’s two-way prowess presents a significant challenge for Houston’s frontcourt. For Memphis, the game opens a two-game road trip before returning home to face Charlotte. Houston continues a brief two-game homestand before heading to Atlanta. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. CST.
