Preview: Suns Visit Hawks in Friday Night Showdown ATLANTA (Interstat) — Two teams on opposite trajectories will meet Friday night when the Phoenix Suns visit the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena. The Suns (27-17) arrive having won eight of their last 10 games, including a 116-110 victory at Philadelphia on Tuesday. Guard Devin Booker has been the catalyst, averaging 24.6 points and 6.3 assists over his last 10 contests. He scored 27 points in the win over the 76ers. In contrast, the Hawks (20-25) have lost four of their last five, most recently falling 112-110 to Milwaukee on Monday despite a standout performance from forward Jalen Johnson. He posted 28 points, 16 rebounds and six assists in the narrow defeat, continuing a stretch of versatile play. Over his past 10 games, Johnson is averaging 19.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists. This matchup is a rematch of a Nov. 16 meeting in Phoenix, which Atlanta won 124-122. The Hawks will look to replicate that result and halt their recent slide, while the Suns aim to continue their climb up the Western Conference standings. Phoenix’s recent success has been marked by efficient offense, scoring at least 112 points in nine of their last 10 wins. Beyond Booker, contributions have come from throughout the lineup, including Grayson Allen, who had 16 points and six assists against Philadelphia. Atlanta’s struggles have largely been on the defensive end, allowing an average of 121.2 points during their 1-4 slump. Containing Booker and the Suns’ perimeter attack will be a primary challenge. The game tips off at 7:30 p.m. EST Friday. For Phoenix, it begins a stretch of five road games out of their next seven. Atlanta continues a four-game homestand before visiting Boston next Wednesday.
