SAN FRANCISCO (Interstat) — The Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors, two teams jockeying for playoff positioning in their respective conferences, will meet Monday night at Chase Center in a cross-conference showdown. The Warriors (23-19) enter with a slight edge in the standings over the Heat (21-20) and are riding a two-game winning streak after a 126-113 victory over the New York Knicks on Thursday. Golden State has won seven of its last 10 games. Miami looks to rebound from a 119-114 home loss to the Boston Celtics on Thursday, which snapped a brief two-game win streak. The Heat have struggled on their current road trip, losing three of four games away from home since Jan. 6. A key matchup will feature Miami’s Norman Powell and Golden State’s Jimmy Butler, both in strong recent form. Powell is averaging 24.5 points over his last 10 games, including a 36-point performance on New Year’s Day and a 34-point outing on Jan. 4. He scored 26 in the loss to Boston. Butler has been similarly impactful for the Warriors, averaging 21.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists over his last 10 contests. He is coming off a 32-point, 8-rebound effort in the win over New York. The teams last met on Nov. 19, 2025, in Miami, where the Heat secured a 110-96 victory. Miami’s supporting cast, including Andrew Wiggins and Tyler Herro, will need to contribute consistently alongside Powell. For Golden State, Stephen Curry remains a perpetual focal point after his 27-point, 7-assist performance against the Knicks. The game kicks off a challenging back-to-back for both squads. Miami travels to Sacramento on Tuesday, while Golden State hosts Toronto.
