Warriors, Nets Meet in Brooklyn on Monday BROOKLYN, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Golden State Warriors look to rebound from a high-scoring defeat when they visit the surging Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center on Monday night. The Warriors (16-16) arrive after a 141-127 road loss to the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, despite 39 points from Stephen Curry. Golden State has alternated wins and losses over its last six games, struggling to find consistency. Curry remains the focal point, averaging 31.1 points over his last seven contests. He is coming off a stretch of 39, 48 and 39-point performances earlier in December. Veteran forward Draymond Green is also coming off a strong all-around game with 21 points and seven assists in Toronto. Brooklyn (10-19) has won three straight and five of its last six, including a 123-107 victory at Minnesota on Saturday. Forward Michael Porter Jr. has been instrumental in the turnaround, recording a double-double in three of the last four games. Over his last nine outings, Porter is averaging 28.2 points and 7.6 rebounds, providing a consistent scoring punch alongside guard Cam Thomas. The Nets’ recent success has been marked by improved defense, holding opponents under 107 points in three of the wins during this stretch. They will be tested by a Warriors offense that, despite its .500 record, ranks among the league’s most potent. Golden State won both meetings against Brooklyn last season. Following this game, the Warriors continue a road trip in Charlotte on Wednesday. The Nets will host the Houston Rockets on New Year’s Day. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST.
