DETROIT (Interstat) — The Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons will meet for the third time in 15 days Saturday night at Little Caesars Arena, with the home team seeking to regain its dominant form in the Central Division rivalry. The Pistons (17-5), among the NBA’s early-season surprises, saw a four-game win streak snapped by the Bucks (10-13) in a 113-109 road loss Wednesday. That result tightened the season series after Detroit’s commanding 129-116 victory in Milwaukee on Nov. 22. Saturday’s matchup features a compelling point guard duel between Detroit’s Cade Cunningham and Milwaukee’s Ryan Rollins. Cunningham, a frontrunner for All-NBA honors, is averaging 28.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 8.9 assists over his last 10 games, including a 29-point, 10-assist performance in the Nov. 22 win over Milwaukee. However, he was held to 17 points on 7-of-19 shooting in Wednesday’s rematch. Rollins has been a bright spot for the struggling Bucks, averaging 18.5 points and 6.5 assists over the same 10-game span. He was instrumental in Wednesday’s victory, logging 39 minutes with 22 points and eight assists. His backcourt mate, Kevin Porter, added 26 points and seven assists in that game, while center Jericho Sims controlled the paint with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Despite their sub-.500 record, the Bucks have shown resilience, splitting their last four games. The Pistons, however, have been formidable at home and boast one of the league’s best records, having won 10 of their last 13 contests overall. Detroit’s balanced attack, featuring consistent contributions from veterans like Tobias Harris and Ausar Thompson, will test a Milwaukee defense that ranks in the bottom third of the league. The Bucks will need another efficient offensive night and continued interior presence from Sims to counter Detroit’s physicality. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST. Following this game, the Bucks return home to host Boston on Dec. 11, while the Pistons continue a brief homestand against Atlanta on Dec. 12.
