ORLANDO, Fla. (Interstat) — Two of the Eastern and Western Conference’s early surprises meet Wednesday when the Orlando Magic host the San Antonio Spurs at Kia Center. The Spurs (13-6) and Magic (13-8) both enter with winning records and nearly identical win percentages. San Antonio looks to bounce back from a 125-112 road loss to Minnesota on Sunday that snapped a three-game winning streak. Despite the loss, the Spurs are 4-1 in their last five road games and rank among the league’s top offensive teams. Guard De’Aaron Fox, forward Keldon Johnson and guard Devin Vassell each scored 22 or more points in the loss to the Timberwolves, leading a Spurs attack that has scored 115 or more points in eight of its last ten games. The Magic are riding a three-game winning streak after a 125-120 home victory over Chicago on Monday. Guard Desmond Bane poured in 37 points, while Franz Wagner added 25 points and seven rebounds. Orlando has won six straight at home, last losing at Kia Center on Nov. 12. Following Wednesday’s game, the Spurs continue a road trip Friday at Cleveland. The Magic host Miami on Friday.
