ATLANTA (Interstat) — The Los Angeles Clippers, mired in a difficult season, will look to snap a five-game losing streak when they visit the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena on Wednesday night. The Clippers (5-15) are coming off a 114-110 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, despite a 29-point, 11-assist performance from James Harden. Kawhi Leonard added 30 points and Ivica Zubac had a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double in the defeat. Los Angeles has lost 10 of its last 11 games. Its last victory was a 131-116 road win over the Charlotte Hornets on Nov. 22. The Hawks (13-9) aim to rebound after a narrow 99-98 road loss to the Detroit Pistons on Monday. Prior to that, Atlanta had won three of four, including a 142-134 offensive showcase in Philadelphia. In the most recent meeting between these teams, the Hawks edged the Clippers 105-102 in Los Angeles on Nov. 10. The matchup features a stark contrast in early-season trajectories. The Hawks have found a rhythm offensively, while the Clippers continue to search for consistency despite high-scoring efforts from their star trio. Following this game, the Clippers begin a two-game road trip at Memphis and Minnesota. The Hawks will host the Denver Nuggets on Friday.
