BOSTON (Interstat) — The surging New York Knicks will look to continue their strong start to the season when they visit the rival Boston Celtics at TD Garden on Tuesday night. New York (12-6) enters the contest having won four of its last five games, including a 118-109 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. Jalen Brunson led the way with 37 points, while Josh Hart recorded a near triple-double with 19 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists. The Knicks have been dominant offensively, scoring at least 113 points in eight of their last 10 outings. They have also won the most recent head-to-head matchup, defeating the Celtics 105-95 in New York on Oct. 24. Boston (10-9), meanwhile, is looking to find consistency after alternating wins and losses over its last five games. The Celtics are coming off a narrow 119-115 road loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, despite a 41-point performance from Jaylen Brown. The game will feature a marquee backcourt matchup between Brunson and Brown, both of whom are coming off 37-plus point performances in their last starts. The Celtics will also need a strong performance from center Neemias Queta, who pulled down 18 rebounds against Minnesota. Tuesday’s contest opens a challenging stretch for the Celtics, who will face the Los Angeles Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks later in the week. The Knicks return home to face the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
