MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The Milwaukee Brewers will look to extend their dominance over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a three-game series at American Family Field. The Brewers (50-29) are chasing down the National League Central lead, while the Cubs (43-38) are trying to avoid being swept in a day-night doubleheader. Milwaukee has won four of five meetings this season, including a 6-2 victory Friday and a 2-2 tie Saturday. Right-hander Jacob Misiorowski (7-2, 2.18 ERA) will start for the Brewers. He enters on a dominant run, having allowed just one earned run over 28 innings across his last four starts. In his most recent outing against these same Cubs on Friday, Misiorowski tossed six scoreless innings, allowing two hits while striking out eight. He also threw a complete-game shutout against Philadelphia on June 12, striking out 15. The Cubs will counter with right-hander Colin Rea (4-7, 5.40 ERA). Rea is seeking to reverse a recent trend of tough-luck losses. He took the loss Friday against the Brewers despite allowing just one earned run over five innings. He has been tagged for 13 earned runs over 14 1/3 innings in his other two June outings, however. The weather forecast calls for cloudy skies and 73 degrees for the first pitch. Milwaukee won two of three in a series at Cincinnati earlier this week before returning home. The Cubs took two of three from the New York Mets before the series in Milwaukee. After this game, the Cubs return home to host the San Diego Padres, while the Brewers open a four-game series against the Cincinnati Reds. Third baseman David Hamilton has been productive in the series, driving in a run Friday. Catcher William Contreras had two hits, including a home run, in that game.
