BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (Interstat) β€” The Milwaukee Brewers look to take the rubber match of a three-game series against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon at Target Field. First pitch is set for 1:10 p.m. under clear skies, with temperatures expected near 78 degrees. Milwaukee (25-17) has won two of its last three games, including a 3-2 victory Friday afternoon in the series opener. The Brewers dropped the second game 1-0 on Saturday. Milwaukee enters Sunday with a strong record on the road and has won seven of its last 10 contests overall. Minnesota (20-25) has lost four of its last six games. The Twins salvaged a split Saturday after being held to one run in the series opener. Minnesota sits at the bottom of the AL Central and has struggled offensively, scoring two runs or fewer in three of its last four games. A key player to watch for Milwaukee is right-hander Coleman Crow. In his most recent outing Friday against the Twins, Crow earned a win by allowing one run on three hits over five innings with three strikeouts. He has been effective in limited action this season. For Minnesota, right-hander Joe Ryan is expected to start. Ryan took the loss Friday despite a solid outing, allowing one run on four hits over six innings with seven strikeouts. He has been inconsistent this season, showing flashes of dominance, such as his May 9 win over Cleveland in which he allowed one run over six innings, but also struggling, as he did April 23 against the New York Mets, allowing four earned runs in five innings. The Brewers have won five of their last seven games against the Twins dating to last season. Milwaukee has outscored Minnesota 6-4 over the first two games of this series. An Interstat game simulator projects a 6-5 victory for Milwaukee. After Sunday’s game, the Brewers travel to Chicago for a three-game series against the Cubs beginning Monday. The Twins host the Houston Astros for a three-game set starting Monday.
